About this item
Lumbini (meaning LOVELY in English) Nepalese Rope Incense is handmade by Buddhist Monks in Nepal using ancient + traditional methods: this SACRED incense is composed of 25 ingredients including Saffron, Nagi and red + white Sandalwood. Dried herbs + other naturally scented botanicals are finely powdered and wrapped in a thin strip of hand-prepared Nepali lokta (rice) paper, which is then braided to form a rope-like incense stick. This sacred scent was originally formulated for the Lumbini Temple in Nepal. This Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal is the place where, according to Buddhist tradition, Queen Mahamayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE. This scent is deeply comforting + along with currently being used in the temple it has been used for centuries to release stress, depression, and tension. All-natural, holistic MAGICK.
How to use
This particular blend is extracted from original Nepalese incense, Sandalwood, Saldup, Spikenard, Cinnamon and Cloves. Found abundantly burned in Stupas, Temples and meditation rooms for its aromatic ambience. You can burn rope incense by lying it flat on a bed of sand or ash, which allows the entire rope to burn safely and completely or use a rope incense burner.
